Hampstead community urges retention of Post Office Branch

The Heath & Hampstead Society, on behalf of the local community, has written to the government and the Post Office to urge that the Post Office branch and its services are retained.

The letter points out that: The Hampstead Post Office serves as a vital hub for our diverse community, providing irreplaceable services that support the social and economic fabric of our neighbourhood and the larger north London area. Its potential closure would have far-reaching consequences for several key stakeholder groups.”

The long list of signatories - councillors, resident bodies and MP Tulip Siddiq - underlines the depth of the community’s feeling on this issue.
